As we begin to live closer together on smaller Some the project sees the proposal for 3 contemporary townhouses in the leafy suburb of Mont Albert North. Located on the corner block the project seeks to inject an identity to the otherwise lifeless length of side street that for years consisted of tall side fences and no connection between the street and property. The proposal springs to life an active street front with a mix of open garden and private courtyards that create a connection between street and front door. The built form harnesses the familiar characteristics of the neighbouring pitched roof houses. The push and pull of the setbacks provide an undulating frontage anchored by the solidity of the ground floor. Internally the sharp roof forms are continued though high ceilings encouraging natural light and air movement whilst providing great distant views across the suburb.
